People are always quick to assume that all single people are either lonely, looking for a partner or that they are single because they can not attract someone. God forbid a person is comfortable with being by themselves. Many people feel as though they are fine without a relationship, but does this mean that they will never be in a relationship? No. It simply means that they are comfortable enough with themselves to not constantly think about romance or even want it in their lives.
Many people have tried dating and being in a relationship and realized that they do not want to commit to someone. Some thought that things were going to be end game and it turned out that life had other plans and bombarded them with problems that they could not handle while being in a relationship.
Being unable to give one’s full attention to a significant other is not just bad, it could eventually lead to the relationship ending. This is another reason why so many people stay single. They feel as though they can not see romance or their romantic partner as a priority. These people view relationships as a distraction rather than an essential human connection.
Being single has just as many benefits as being in a relationship. For instance, you avoid the paranoia, the jealousy and frustration that could accompany them. You avoid spending money on outings and gifts. You even save yourself from petty arguments and issues with others. Saving yourself from the emotional strain that comes with doubt and insecurity can ultimately result in a more balanced and stress-free life.
Being solo is not the end of the world. It can actually be the key to keeping yourself on the right path and allowing you the ability to keep striving.
