Palworld is a sandbox survival game developed and published by Pocketpair. Its gameplay features average mechanics such as building, crafting, and resource management, but with a unique twist players can capture and train creatures called “Pals” to assist them in various tasks. 

These Pals can be used for farming, combat, and other activities within the game world. Palworld gained attention for its blend of traditional survival mechanics with the addition of its Pals.

Overall, the concept of the game is a mix of your traditional, “Minecraft,” vibe 

with “Ark Survival.” Palworld also has a pokemon aspect to it where the player is able to catch, similarly to poke balls, Fire , water and grass and other “Pals,” with “Palspheres,” after weakening them in battle. There are 137 different pals to be discovered throughout the map. 

UACHS Senior, Victor Carino, has been playing the game since its release in

January.

“Palworld is pretty addicting,” said Carino. “It is a fun game to play with friends and

includes a lot of variety.”

While the game is multiplayer, it is yet to be established as cross platform. In a multiplayer server, you are able to invite up to 32 other players and explore the world while catching new “Pals,” together. 

According to Microsoft.com, “Palworld supports crossplay between Xbox consoles 

and the Microsoft store version purchased on PC.”

So, for those of you who are considering purchasing the game on Steam, you would only be able to play with your fellow PC gamers.
