Summer is around the corner! There are a lot of places to go and tons of things to see here in New Jersey. With new fairs, beaches, camps, and pools beginning to open this summer there are a bunch of things for people to do. As all of these places are opening up, it is very important to keep safe by wearing face coverings, carrying hand sanitizer, and wipes.

Beaches and boardwalks are good ideas if you just want to take a walk with family or just relax. New Jersey has every type of beach you want, from loud celebration beaches to the quiet, laid back beaches. If you are looking for a quiet beach, Cape May, Spring Lake, and Higbee Beach Wildlife should be great ones. Keansburg, Seaside, and Wildwood are great party beaches that will also be open and available along with their Amusement parks. The Meadowlands fair is filled with rollercoasters and delicious food, the price for these tickets are $34.99 for fun passes that include admission to the fair, unlimited rides, free shows, entertainment, and a petting zoo.

The Meadowlands isn’t the only place to check out; another favorite is Island Beach State Park. It has amazing views of the ocean and a lot of wildlife! You’ll only have to pay for parking for a low price. Atlantic City is also a great place to visit. The hotels are great, the beaches are spacious, and the food is delicious. 

Some of these locations are a good way to have fun in the sun, but there are other things you can do without going too far from the city. Bike riding is a fun adventurous activity to do on a nice, sunny day. Liberty State Park is great for riding bikes since it has many empty spaces and a freeway. It has a bike lane you are able to ride in, to stay safe away from the cars that are coming and going. Citi bikes are available for use with a reasonable price.

If it’s too hot outside or if you’re more of an indoor person, The American Dream Mall is a wonderful place to go. This mall has a variety of shopping stores such as Lululemon, Tumi, UGG, and Aritzia. There is also a variety of food stores like Five Guys, Bergen Social, and Hard Rock Cafe. Furthermore, the best parts of this mall is that it has a Nickelodeon theme park, DreamWorks water park, Big Snow skiing, sea life aquarium that opens in June, and black light mini golf. 

This summer will be truly eventful if you go out and try some of these activities. Don’t let this season go to waste, go out and enjoy yourself
